Introductions

It's always good to have some context right? I mean, why would you bother to read on without an idea of who it is that's waffling on. So lets get started.

So who am I? 
Well, there's the easy stuff - 30-something straight woman, living and working in the Australian capital, good job, mortgage, great group of friends. 
And the rest? 
Well I work in IT - a tough gig with constant change, and still a challenging place for women to work. 
I'm on my own - Australia is a big place, and I took a great job opportunity that was a ling way from home. In 15 years I've never lived closer than 1,200 kilometres to my peeps. That's hard at times. 
And at times, I struggle to hold it all together. 

So what's this blog about? Whatever I want to talk about! Sometimes that's professional stuff, sometimes its something interesting I read about, sometimes its a rant about life in general.
